Trauma increases risk of alcohol issues for women

Holobaugh awards recognize LGBT advocates

Recipients of the annual James M. Holobaugh Honor were recognized at a reception Feb. 9 in Holmes Lounge. The award recognizes individuals and organizations that promote Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender equality, perform direct advocacy and service to the St. Louis metro community and incorporate education and dialogue as part of their practice. Peters receives AIAA’s highest honor

David Peters, PhD, the McDonnell Douglas Professor of Engineering in the School of Engineering & Applied Science, has received the Reed Aeronautics Award for 2011 from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.   • Women’s basketball streak comes to an end. The nine-game winning streak of the No. 6 women’s basketball team came to an end with a 71-61 setback at No. 16 University of Rochester Feb. 13 in Rochester, N.Y. The team returns home for its last three regular-season games, beginning Friday, Feb. 18, against New York University at the Field House.
